Logan Scott LLC ("we", "us", or "our") operates SproutSmart at sproutsmart.app. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly:

• Account information — email address and password when you register.
• Garden data — the crops and planting schedules you save.
• Communications — messages you send via our contact form.

We also collect information automatically:

• Usage data — pages visited, features used, and timestamps, collected via Umami Analytics (privacy-preserving, no cross-site tracking).
• Log data — IP addresses and browser type retained in server logs for security purposes.

How We Use Your Information

• To provide and maintain the SproutSmart service.
• To send planting reminders and account notifications you have opted into.
• To respond to support requests.
• To improve the application based on aggregate usage patterns.

Email Notifications

If you create a garden with notifications enabled, we will send periodic planting reminder emails. You may unsubscribe at any time using the link in any reminder email, or by adjusting your notification settings in My Gardens.

Data Sharing

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share data only with service providers necessary to operate SproutSmart (e.g., email delivery via Microsoft Graph), and only to the extent required for that purpose.

Data Retention

We retain your account and garden data for as long as your account is active. You may delete your account from My Profile (Danger Zone). Your account is deactivated immediately and permanently deleted after a configurable grace period (default 24 hours). We email you a link to cancel during that window. If you cannot sign in, you may still request deletion via our contact page.

Cookies

We use a session cookie for authentication. We do not use third-party advertising cookies. Our analytics provider (Umami) does not use cookies.

Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time. Delete your account from My Profile, or contact us for access, portability (a copy of your data), or help if you are locked out of your account.
