Direct sow or transplant cold-tolerant starts like Spinach and Lettuce while soil still holds warmth. Add quick, reliable greens such as Arugula, and set out Garlic for strong spring harvests. Keep newly planted beds lightly mulched to steady moisture.

The Harvest

Harvest Tomato and Bell Pepper as they ripen, and pick Hot Pepper frequently to keep plants producing. Continue gathering Zucchini and Cucumber on a regular schedule to prevent over-mature fruit. Remove any damaged fruit to reduce pest pressure.
